Supported Shared Apprenticeships

Supported Shared Apprenticeships in Wales are designed to help disabled individuals, including those with learning disabilities and/or autism, gain valuable work experience, develop employability skills, and achieve qualifications at Level 2 or above. These programmes aim to enhance participants' career prospects and increase their chances of securing paid employment.

Work Experience: Apprentices gain a broad range of experiences and skills as well as a work relevant qualification.
Personalised Support: Each apprentice receives tailored assistance, including job coaching and mentoring, to address their individual needs and goals.
Collaborative Delivery: These programmes are delivered in partnership with training providers and employers to ensure comprehensive assistance for apprentices.

As part of our Supported Shared Apprenticeships, support we offer:

  • Job Coaching: Expert job coaches assist apprentices in preparing for and securing apprenticeship placements, providing ongoing support throughout the programme.
  • Tailored Training: Agoriad Cyf matches individuals with appropriate training opportunities, ensuring a seamless transition into work.
  • Employer support: Support the employer with all aspect of the employment and apprenticeship We collaborate with businesses to identify suitable roles and facilitates the integration of apprentices into the workforce.

  2. Workplace Adjustments: Supporting employers in making reasonable adjustments, such as flexible working arrangements or adaptive equipment.
  3. Ongoing Support: Regular check-ins to ensure both the employer and employee are satisfied and thriving in their roles.
  4. Upskilling Opportunities: Helping employers identify training and development options to enable employees to progress within their organisation.


To take part in the supported shared apprenticeship, you must:
 

  • Be living in Wales
  • Be able to work 16 or more hours per week
  • Have any type of disability (pan-disability)
  • Be willing to complete a Level 2 apprenticeship course accredited by a training provider
